Condolences
I was only 9 years of age when I first met Tom. We had 53 wonderful years of friendship. He was the kindest, most generous, humorous, fun loving person I've ever met. One could consider themselves blessed if Tom was their friend. Through the years he brought joy to all who knew him. I was so happy when he told me about Bryan. He said Bryan was the nicest person he'd ever met and couldn't wait to introduce him to granny. He had found his true love. Tom and I didn't always see each other often, but we kept in touch frequently sending each other funny cards and losing lottery tickets. I was so blessed to have him in my life for 53 years, and I'll always cherish the memories, of my best friend Tom.
My heart just broke when I heard this news on Saturday. Tom was one of the funniest and kindest people I knew. I will miss his story telling and laugh. Brian I am sending love and hugs. Hoping I can get to Iowa City on Thursday for the gathering
.God speed Tommy. You deserve all that heaven can offer.
Bryan,
I am so sorry for your loss. Tom was great guy and friend. Always happy and friendly with everyone he met. Loved sitting at the Deadwood scratching lottery tickets.

Bryan, I am so sorry to hear of your beloved husbands passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and those left behind to mourn his passing.
Oh Bryan- I am so sorry about this. Tom really had a way to make me laugh. My favorite was his telling of the "bank robber" story. I will miss seeing his face over the fence when visiting my sister. Giant hugs to you Bryan...
Bryan; I am soooooo sorry. Tom was such a sweetheart and I know he will be missed by many. Just shocked and saddened.
I will remember my cousin Tom as someone who was always positive, always had a joke to share and was a very caring person, he will be missed .
I am so sorry to Bryan & Sir Toms siblings and friends.Being my 1st cousin I have a lot of good memories of Tom.
My family and I are going to miss Tom. His passing came a complete shock to us, and I just wish that we had talked more often to each other... Gonna' miss his his laugh! I posted a photo of him when he and Bryan came to Savannah for my daughters graduation in May 2011. The pic is in city market in Savannah.
