Condolences
To Rich and family,
I just saw this obituary for the loss of your mother, Judy. My condolences to you all, Judy was a sweet lady. She was so generous to give of her time to volunteer for so many worthy causes. I lost my brother Eric in June of this year (2017) as well, to heart disease. I remember seeing your mom at the Old Capitol one December several years ago. We were having cocoa and cookies after the Holiday Tubas concert, in which Eric had arranged music and played his baritone for many years. Judy was working at one of the reception desks, we had a nice visit. I hope you continue to find comfort in your memories of her.
My best,
Janet Larson (West High class of '73)
To the family and friends, I am sorry for the loss. May she rest in peace. I enjoyed knowing Judy at the Coralville senior exercise class and coffee afterwards.
Janice
Dick and sons, my sincere condolences on the loss of Judy from this earth. Her generosity of self is illustrative from her bio; unsaid is her generosity of time to me when I visited Iowa for a reunion so many years ago. I still remember all Judy and you, Dick, did for me to make my visit great. She lives on in all of us. Marjorie, Phoenix AZ

Dick- Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Judy was a treasure unlike anyone else. Her generosity and willingness to give of her time was beyond compare. Judy had the gift to impact people's lives through her volunteerism. Few people are willing to give as freely of their time as Judy. Judy was an amazing person and she will be missed, but she will always be a positive memory in all of our hearts.
To all of Judith's family you have my deepest heartfelt sympathy at this time of your loss. I was shocked when I seen this in the paper. It really hit's home when it's someone that was close to us. Judith was always very nice to me. I thought an awful lot of her and was glad to call her a close friend. She was a great wife and mother to Richard, Rich, Jodie, and Jim. I had the pleasure to get to know all of her family. She loved everyone of them dearly and all of the grand kids. She will be missed by many she touched the life of a lot of people. She had a huge heart when it came to helping others.
With my deepest sympathy! William Sedlacek

Dick and family, aka "the crazy neighbors", my heart is hurting, Our families have shared so many memories.
Judy brought love, laughter and comfort to so many people in whatever she did, she truly was a Servent of God.
May your family find peace, comfort, and love as you share memories.
Love to you all.
Dear Dick and Family, Close Friends of Judy.
It was my pleasure to know Judy through the Pilot Club of Iowa City. She was involved in everything activity and service that we do. I greatly appreciate her willingness to do anything asked related to our Annual Breakfast and Bazaar. Judy also served as a Club Delegate to many District events. Her quick smile, kindness and generosity had no bounds.
A memory I have from before meeting her in Pilot Club was when our family was vacationing in Denver and our friends had secured tickets for us to a professional soccer game. As we walked in front of the stands to find our seats, someone called out to my mother. It was JUDY! What a fun surprise to find someone from Iowa City there in Denver that knew my mother! I was quickly introduced to Judy and we have both laughed over that memory several times!
I was actively involved in the leadership of the Church Softball League and often saw Judy attending the Friday night games of St. Marks UMC team. She was a loyal fan and sports lover. It was fun to see her at those events.
Judy also enjoyed playing Phase 10 cards with several Pilots from our club and around the District. Many times we traveled together on Saturday mornings to the HyVee in Davenport to play Phase 10. I have fond memories of times and conversations that we had together.
We're all so blessed to have known Judy and counted her as a friend. Our lives are richer for having Judy in them. God Bless Judy and her family during this difficult time. May warm, happy memories and Judy's smile fill the emptiness in all our hearts.
My brother Tim called to tell me the sad news. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. And a special cyber embrace for Richard, who has been too long out of sight; but is never out of mind. Take good care.
I volunteer many places but not nearly what Judy did. She was just everywhere! My condolences to Dick and the family. It is an understatement to say she will be missed.
