So sorry to here is of Jim's passing. He was such a kind and wonderful person. Always had a smile n his face and gave me my 1st job at the U of I Dental college along with a few other Coralvillian's as I have always liked to call us! He was very kind and did so much for the community. He will be greatly missed by so many! Many thoughts and prayers to the family.
Carol,
Thank you for sharing Jim with all of us. He was a true role model for community leadership, and the entire area is so much the better because of his many contributions. Please know our thoughts are with you and your family.
Please know you are in my prayers. May God grant you comfort, hope, and strength in the promise of the resurrection in Jesus Christ.
Carol, Karen, Kirk, Kendra,
A lot of fantastic years to reflect back on. I remember many a time at your house growing up with Jim - baseball, homemade ice cream, camping, picnics, fishing, bullfrogs - and that intercom system that allowed him to hear EVERYTHING we were doing in another part of the house. He made a positive mark on a lot of people over the years, including me. Condolences to all - and celebrate his wonderful life.
Mayor Fausett served the citizens of Coralville with honor and distinction. He was absolutely one of a kind and all of us are lessened by his loss.
Carol,
I am so sorry for your grief. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
I was so glad to see you and Jim and talk to at the Legion.
Bill and I really appreciated your help at Compassionate Friends. I try to host grief groups myself to help others. If you need someone to talk to, Bill died 5 years ago. I would be happy to listen.

Jim and Carol were frequent customers at Hardee's when I owned the restaurant. Jim was instrumental in helping so many of us recover from the flood of 2008, and was always supportive of local business. Always there with a smile and a kind word, he will be greatly missed. Condolences to the entire family. God Bless.
My deepest sympathy and condolences. The Mayor was one of the finest civil servants to ever hold public office in Iowa. I hold him forever in the highest esteem.
Precious ones. Our hearts hurt for you. JIm leaves a hole in your lives and heart that your wonderful memories will only partially fill. We trust our Heavenly Father will cause you to know how much you are loved and how much He cares and is now caring in a new way for JIm.
Our hearts go out to you Carol and all the family. He was a dear friend and will be missed. We pray for your comfort and peace knowing that he is in the tender hands of Heaven. Take great joy in his life, such a wonderful person, father and friend to so many.
I have so many great memories of working with Mayor Fausett and those will never fade. He was a mentor to many in this community. A community that is a special as it is because of Mayor and Carol Fausett.
Carol,
Ours thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I know Jim will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was such a great person so helpful and kind. He did so much for Coralville.

Really sad to learn of the Mayor passing. Great memories of 20 years working together at Dental College.A dedicated employee and master at the crossword puzzle. Shared many personal moments as we each raised our families. Worked on a few things together as we watched Coralville explode. He will be missed, God's comfort to all the Fausett family!
I have fond memories of Jim when he headed up Central Supply at the College of Dentistry. He was a good guy and his "Red Ball Inn" the last day of classes before Christmas break was never to be missed. May he rest in peace.
To Carol and the children of Jim Fausett:
Our sincere condolences. We were stunned to hear of the Mayor's passing, especially when we walked into church and went up the elevator with Jim and Carol last Sunday! It was most certainly an honor to have known Jim, a man who always put others and his community ahead of himself. We attended church with Fausetts and we still addressed him as Mayor even after his retirement. I enjoyed having coffee and talking Coralville history with him after church, and seeing him in the Coralville parade lineups on the fourth. Always smiling, always a kind work of encouragement, and a fine example of how to live and conduct oneself.
Great guy!!!!!

I had the honor of getting to know Mayor Fausett when I lived and worked in Coralville. He was a delightful person and a true gentleman. He adored his family and always had a smile on his face. Please know you are in my thoughts. Mayor Fausett touched many lives in a positive way and made everyone around him, better. With sympathy.
I am sorry to hear of Jim's passing. My prayers are with Carol and the entire Fausett family!
How,fitting services to be held in the place that bears, his name. My condolences.
Lori and I wish to offer our condolences. If there is anything we can do let us know.
Although I knew him really only late in his time, Jim's love of the community and efforts to always improve it were very apparent. He seemed always to be optimistic and contributed a great deal to this community. We all owe him and his wife a lot.
