Obituary of Deanna F. Dawson

Deanna F. Dawson, 77, of Iowa City died Thursday, April 27, 2017, at the Briarwood Care Center in Iowa City.

Private Family services will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Deanna’a memory.  Online condolences may be sent for her family through this page.

Deanna F. Simpson was born October 17, 1939, in Novelty, MO, the daughter of Cecil and Cora (Huke) Simpson.  She moved to the Iowa City area to be near some of her family in 1992, here she worked as a CNA at Iowa City Rehab Center for over 14 years.

Her family includes three brothers, Bill Simpson (Lynette) of Iowa City; Dick Simpson (Judy) of Monroe, IA; and Cliff Simpson of Low Moor, IA.   She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Gary Simpson.
