Condolences
Mike was a long time friend who was always special.
I am very saddened to learn of Mike's passing. He was a great friend and classmate of our Dubuque Senior High School Class of 1960. We had many classes together, most memorable was the Trigonometry class in our senior year. Mike was a top math and science student, which is why I always tried to sit near him! Besides his high intelligence, he had a really great sense of humor. I enjoyed seeing and talking to him last September at our 56th HS reunion. Highly popular and friendly to all, he will surely be missed but never forgotten. My sincere condolences to all his family members (I remember brother Dennis, as he was a Class of 1959 member). Good-bye, old friend.
Sandy this is Jane Zwiener, I am so sorry to hear of your husbands passing. I know time and faith helps.
I worked with Mike for 6 years as an Ombudsman. He was a pivotal member of our group and made us feel like a second family. He was smart, warm, kind, and had a great sense of humor. Whenever we were feeling pressure about meeting a metric, he could make a joke, and we'd all laugh and feel better. He will be greatly missed.
We are so sorry to hear of Mike's passing. We both had the privilege to work alongside Mike for many years at Pearson/Vangent. He was endlessly helpful, patient, caring, and kind. Our deepest sympathies to the family.
I am so sorry to hear of Mike's passing. I worked with him at NCS/Pearson/Vangent/GDIT for 16 years and always enjoyed talking with him. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
The members of the Ombudsman Group at Federal Student Aid are saddened to hear of Mike's passing. Over the course of a number of years of working together, it was universally evident that Mike was a calm, respectful, and caring man who sought to do the right thing not just for the customers he helped, but for all of his colleagues as well. He influenced all with his patience and sincerity. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.
Sandy and family -
You are in my thoughts and prayers. Mike was a great friend, and a key member of a group of guys that have been together since junior high (Hempstead Hillbillies). We always had fun, and I'm grateful that we got to play cards at the cabin - should have done it more!! Can't believe Mike is gone, so many good memories.
Stay strong,
Sandy and family
I am sorry to hear of Mike's passing. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. He will be missed at our family gatherings.
Mike was my coworker and supervisor for the Ombudsman Group for many years. He was respected and loved by the entire team for his fairness, common sense, intelligence, and wonderful sense of humor. He had a way of making us feel appreciated and he valued our work as Ombudsman. His family was his joy. He will be missed.
Dennis:
Our deepest condolences to you and your family. We hope that your good memories help to get you through this raw time of sorrow.
I am still in shock that my brother is gone. My deepest sympathy to Sandy, Christina, Kathy, Anna, Joseph, and Tim, and their families for their loss. I have spent most of the last 24 hours with my mind flashing through the times Mike and I spent together as kids, teenagers, and adults in this crazy journey called life. I will miss our conversations on the screen porch solving the world's problems, and I was so looking forward to sharing motorcycle rides together. I will miss him greatly.
