I became acquainted with Johnnie during my visits to Briarwood when seeing my aunt Betty Johnson. I always enjoyed visiting with Johnnie, with her positive outlook and radiant smile. She will be missed very much.

In memory of Johnnie Townsend: I met Johnnie many years ago at Briarwood Healthcare Center where my sister, Betty Johnson, also lived for many years. Betty & Johnnie became roommates and were together until BJ passed on in April of last year.

I very much looked forward to seeing Johnnie when I visited BJ, as she was a delight to know with her wonderful smile and welcoming manner. We spoke of many things, mainly catching up on families and all the activities going on at Briarwood. Johnnie proudly identified the family photos hanging in her room and we three spent happy times visiting and getting to know each other.

I'm so sorry to read that Johnnie has now passed on but I will NEVER forget the lovely person she is.

My heart is so sad that you have left this physical earth. However, you are no longer in pain and are in a better place. My oldest sister is gone, but her spirit will never be forgotten. I remember her as being smart and beautiful back in the day. She had an absolutely beautiful handwriting and religiously kept up with family through handwritten letters. This was long before computers and when long distance calls cost a small fortune!

Your kids are your legacy, and they have reflected well on you on a job well done. I hate to see you go. I really do. I'll miss you, but your spirit will always be in my heart. I love you Johnnie Pearl.

My Mom is the most genuinely good person that I have ever known! She has lived by the Golden Rule of how to treat people. Regardless of what she went through or how a person would behave, she would forgive, move on, and still remain a good person.

She has never complained or expressed bitterness and has always praised God!

Mom, you have been the best Christian role model that I have ever had and I have and will continue to sing your praises.
