Lorie and family,

I'll always treasure being a part of Gladys's 90th birthday party! She was a gem, always interested in the what was going on in the world and asked pertinent questions of us "younger" folks. I remember that she had many good friends and family who so enjoyed that lovely chocolate cake (her favorite) served for her birthday. She will not be forgotten and we've all been blessed to have known her. We are so sorry for your loss.

I was so blessed to have met Gladys many years ago at Hands All Around, a charity quilt group in Littleton, CO. We spent many hours sitting next to each other sewing quilt blocks and she shared her life with us...she loved her family very much, loved the life she had with her husband and loved her God. No matter what time I arrived she would be there sewing and she would laugh when I walked towards her as she knew I'd have to go some to catch up! She was interested in our lives also...asking about our children and husbands. I can hear your laughter Gladys and I have carried our memories together in my heart since you moved to Iowa...Maryann and I sent you Christmas cards with news of the group and you answered my letters. Nancy called to let me know how you were after you were no longer able to write. You may be gone my dear friend but you will never be forgotten by those whose lives you touched. I loved you very much...
