Obituary of C. Leo Buell

C. Leo Buell, 86, of Iowa City passed away, January 6, 2017 at his home. Leo was born December 20, 1930, in Charles City, Iowa; the son of Clarence and Christina (May) Buell. He married Joan Bucknell on April 21, 1952. Leo made his living farming, working construction and as an architectural draftsman. His family includes his wife of 64 years, Joan; children, Christina Hendrick (Steve), of San Marcos, California, Lauretta Doyle (Jerry) of Chandler, Arizona, Catherine Hansen (Brad) of New Berlin, Wisconsin and Mark Buell of Iowa City; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Ray Buell of Fargo, North Dakota and sister, Anna Marie Struck of Corte Madera, California. Leo was preceded in death by his parents. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Iowa City Hospice.
