We are so sorry for your loss . We always looked forward to delivering meals to Jack and Lorraine and catching up on what's going on . See you on Fridays Lorraine Dave and Bev
I had the wonderful privilege of delivering a lunch meal every other Monday to Jack and Lorainne for three years. They were (and are) some of my favorite clients to visit. Jack always had a smile on his face, was welcoming and anxious to visit. He sure could make me laugh especially when he wore his pig nose every Christmas season. I feel I am a better person for having known Jack. I will always remember him. Blessings and my sincere condolences to the Dunlop family… JackLRtrd was a great man!
I'm sorry to hear of Jacks passing. He was like an older brother to me. I looked up to him at my Uncle Deans station, and he always kept an eye on my Mom, Doris King and she fed him a lot. Jack also helped us after my brain surgery.
We've moved but remembered him frequently.
Rest In Peace Jack.
Max

I want to express for my entire family our sympathy for the passing of Jack Dunlap. He was a gentleman, a great neighbor and became a life long friend when we moved to Iowa City in December 1967. I am so sorry for your loss.
So very sorry to see that Jack has passed away. We were room mates in Iowa City a few days until he left for Briarwood. I would have liked to have said more to him as he left, but medical staff was with me at the time so it was a short goodbye. I knew Jack was very special right from he start. I enjoyed his sense of humor and wit, he reminded me of my father in law who passed at ninety four, so much like Jack. He told me "the world needs more people like you"....I say the world needs more people like Jack. With deepest sympathy from myself and my wife Linda. Rest in peace Jack
To the family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Uncle Jack was such a kind and caring man. I am so glad we were all able to get together at his condo for a mini family reunion.
Thinking of you,
Sue
Dunc, so sorry to hear about Jack, keeping you in my prayers.
Lorraine and family,
My deepest sympathy to all of you. Such great memories of Jack growing up. It was always so much fun to have Jack and Lorraine stop for a visit or on occasion visit them in Iowa City. I distinctly remember buying a beautiful wooden music box from your gift store with my own money!! May you be comforted with many happy memories in the days to come. God Bless you all,
JoAnn Waite Beck
So sorry to hear. My condolences to Lorraine and family.
I first met Jack in the '70s I admired his family and his dedication to them.
He was a wise businessman and gave me advice on how to succeed and care for people

Jack was the perfect ambassador to have on the front line of UI Hospitals and Clinics. His friendly interactions with patients and families put many at ease. It wasn’t unusual for returning patients to look him up and visit with him like an old friend. Many of his fellow valets – mostly UI college students – marveled at his strong work ethic and benefited from his mentorship. Our thoughts and prayers to Lorraine, Dennis, Terry, Steve, Diane and families. We will miss our dear friend.

To the Dunlap family, My heart goes out to all of you for your loss of Jack. He was one of the nicest guys I ever have known. Diane, I am with you in my thoughts even though I'm not there physically. ....Rest in Peace Jack.....
Sincerely , Diane
We are so sorry to hear of Jack's passing. He and Lorraine were two of the really great neighbors we came to know over the years at Quail Creek. Jack always had a joke or wise crack to brighten the day. We always looked forward to sharing books with him. He would leave a stack in front of our door and we would return the favor from our stock.
We were proud to call them friends. Our prayers go out to the entire family. Jack loved you all!
