No matter where or when I would meet Ed, he was always so happy to see me! I moved to this area in 1977 I lived in Oxford and met the family at that time. There's something about a small town that roots friendships for years. I remember all of you fondly, especially Ed and Tom. My thoughts are with all of you and hope that even though time passes, memories of Ed stay close to your hearts.

My deepest sympathy to all of the Pettit family for your loss. I still can't believe that Ed is gone. I remember all the good times that we had as kids and later as adults and will always have those memories.

We will miss Ed very much. he was an awesome guy. I remember when we were kids.. Dennis, Bradly and myself would stay at Ed's Apt. and he made sure we kids had fun.... i will miss those smiles he always had
