Always an anticipated occasion whenever the Conrads would visit our family. Uncle Bob always found time to make each of us feel important. He will be missed. Sincerest sympathy, Gary, Zack, and Erika Brockhoff
I remember his welcoming ready smile. He will be missed but my sainted father William 'Bill' Danker, and my sainted uncle Fred Danker are with the welcoming heavenly Hosts now. Sending Love
Dear Mary Anne,
I have so many memories of your and Bob's gracious welcome to me when I arrived at LSTC as a new assistant professor in 1992. The two of you were models of hospitality and warmth, and I loved to see the two of you "in action" in so many ways at LSTC. I was in awe of all the responsibilities Bob shouldered: DMin Director of a huge program, Continuing Education Director, professor, Coordinator of the annual leadership conference...so many responsibilities cared for with grace and administrative skill. He was a wonderful colleague--gentle, hard-working, and someone with a great sense of humor.
You and your whole family are very much in my thoughts and prayers--I am remembering you with thanksgiving and feeling the sorrow of this great loss.
Sincerely,
Kadi
I thank God for Dr. Conrad's life and ministry. As one of his students at both Concordia Seminary and Christ Seminary-Seminex, I can attest that his caring and content-rich teaching has stayed with me my whole career. May those closest to him be comforted with the assurances of God's love that Bob was so careful to nurture in us. Paul Otterstein, Pastor, Die Paulskirche, Schenefeld bei Hamburg, Germany
I want to extend my deep sympathy to you in the loss of a partner and soulmate and also a loss for the Church. We can be thankful for his service and memory. May your memories and the hope of the resurrection sustain you in this trying time. May God's peace come through your grieving and celebration fo his life. Love Bob and lisa Foster
We've known you all for such a long time and your generosity at letting us join your family on holidays. We give thanks for Bob and send our love. Nick and I will try to make it next Saturday. Peace to you all, Deb, Nick and girls
I was a student in Bob's Christian Education class at LSTC. As a pastor in Oak Lawn, I got to know Bob as a colleague, as he regularly joined our clergy group for breakfast each month. What a fine teacher, and what a great guy. My prayers are with your family during this Lenten time, as you look forward to Easter with hope. -Rev. Nancy Goede, Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Oak Lawn
