Obituary of Margaret A. Goedtke

Margaret A. Goedtke, 81, of Bella Vista, AR died Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, IA surrounded by her immediate family. She was born March 19, 1931 in Chicago, IL to Walter Goebig and Olga (Sharavar) Goebig. Margaret married Charles G. Goedtke in 1950 in Chicago, Illinois. He died May 30, 2003. She most recently re-located residency to Legacy Pointe in Iowa City, IA. Surviving are two daughters, Pamela Tiedt and husband Dan of Iowa City, IA and Gail Dunsker and husband Don of Naperville, Illinois. One son, Charles Goedtke and wife Christy of Peachtree City, GA, six grandchildren, Dan Tiedt, Kris Diehl, DJ (Katie) Dunsker, Diana (Matt) Szynal, Jenna Goedtke and Charlie Goedtke, 2 great grandchildren, Emmie Diehl and Charlotte Dunsker. Marge loved most, visiting with her extended family where she enjoyed playing cards, cooking, watching her favorite TV shows, tending her garden and bringing life to house plants as well as occasional visits to the local casinos. Up until recently she drove 8 hours by herself to family gatherings in Iowa City, Iowa and Naperville, Illinois. Most of her adult life was spent as a homemaker caring for her children and husband in the most magnificent way.
