Harold and family we were shocked to hear about Vel's passing. I (kathy) have many fond memories of growing up around your family. Mom hopping across the alley from 2nd to 1st AVE to have a cup of coffee and Janice walking me to kindergarden. I pray for your strength and peace of mind in this time of loss.
Harold and family, We were so shocked to hear of Vel's passing. It's been a long time since we have seen her, but we have some great memories from the years in Iowa City on 1st Avenue and the farm. She made such great goodies from your huge garden. She always made everyone feel welcome in your home. She was a special lady. We want to extemd our deepest sympathy to all of you.
I was so sorry to hear about the lose of Vel.Even though I haven't seen her in awhile,I will always remember the fun times that we had in the past. You are a great lady,mom and grandma. Take care.

Our hearts go out to Jodies family on your great loss . I know this has been a very tough year on your family . Please know that each and everyone of you are in our thoughts and prayers .
I was deeply saddened to hear the loss of such a wonderful lady. Vel's heart was made of gold and she will be greatly missed by her family and many of those who knew her. You are in my thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time.
