Dear Lauren,
I was so sorry to learn of your great loss. I have very fond memories of your mother. I spent some time at your home during the summer of 1965. While neither of our families were affluent, your mother made great efforts to entertain me. She had fun activities planned everyday which included going to the local shopping malls (to look at the new fall fashions), a day at your neighbor's parents' lake home (I believe the neighbor was a lady named Audrey with a set of twin boys), and an elegant lunch at Charlies. Your mother was also a very modern lady who valued education. Giving you and Jill the best possible education was so important to her. I know she was very proud of both you and Jill and all your accomplishments. May her memory comfort you at this sad time of your life.
Fondly,
Sonya
