I am so sorry to hear of Shirley's passing. I still to this day as I drive down 5th Street, picture her sitting in the window at her apartment building. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

My deespest sympthay to Shirley's family, I had the honor of meeting her when she lived at Coral Village, Her and my mom, Pearl Paintin spent many hours together, Shirley always had a smile on her face, She never let her effects of a stroke get her down, She was a wondefull person, I wsh you knew how much her firendship meant to my mom, I am also gratefull for that.....

I have so many awesome memories of the times that our families spent together and the fun we had! And just watching our families laugh together will be with me always!

I met Shirley at Coral Village She was a greeter and would sit in entry way there and always smiled with recognition. My Mom Alice Wieneke had a fused leg to help identify her for family, always made a cupcake and would bring to the resident door and sing happy Birthday to them My Mom held her very dear. My mom said she did the puzzles there. I will be putting her obituary into the Genealogy Files at Coralville Library as she was a resident of Coralville for some time..

I knew Shirley through my Mom, Helen Dundon. They really enjoyed each others company and were friensd & neighbors. The last time being at Emerson Point. Everytime I visited and saw Shirley I knew she was smiling a big hello to me. Mom left us in Feburary,I know how hard it is. But I believe they are at peace and with the loved ones that went before.

So sorry to learn of Shirley's passing,but what a joyful reunion she must be having in heaven with her family and in the arms of her savior. She has SO much to say now!!!
