Dear Family of Jack,

My condolences to all your familes. I read Jack's obituary in the Toledo Democrat, Toledo, IL and noticed the name of Jack's mother Hazel Delores Eggers. We would all be distant Eggers Cousins and I just wanted to relay my words of sympathy to your families. Sounds like Jack was a great guy!

I continue to gather more information on all our Eggers cousins to put into my Eggers Books. If anyone doing geneology and

would be interested in exchanging family information I would be so happy to do so as I have many many descendants of Elisha Eggers my Great Great grandfather and yours.

It is never easy to lose such a beloved person in our families.

Jack,

I will always treasure memories of your kindness, great humor (loved the jokes), and how you often went out of your way to help others. I recall your annual Christmas visits when I was just a kid in East Chicago and how you always brought along some kind of present. We will never forget your warm welcome and hospitality when we visited you in Iowa City. You lived a long, richly productive life that touched many who were fortunate to associate with you. We are all sad to say goodbye. Rest on, dear cousin.

Farewell dear 'cuz". We were more than relatives we were friends. We shared many childhood times when we both spent summers and parts of school year ,.We would be dropped off at grandma Bowles` in Casey Illinois.Very fun times. Wish we had gotten together again past year or so, but wasnt to be. So sorry you have left. Lesa, Jeff, Mark, and Scot, God bless you and stay strong.

My heart goes out to "Jackie Dean's" family. I remember when he came to Midland to visit when I was a kid, and I'm glad we got to take our mother to Illinois to meet up with him a few years ago. He's at peace now.

So very sorry to hear about Jack. I always called him Jackie Dean. I remember him when I was a child as always being fun and having cool cars.

He took my sister Ronnie & I for a ride in his convertable many many years ago. When I got married in 2004 out in Vegas, he had a package waiting for me in our hotel suite with 2 rolls of quarters. That was the last time I talked to him when I called him to thank him. He was a Very special person and has a very special place in my heart. My Mom, Beulah, and Jack had a special bond as cousins and used to hang out together when they were in Casey Illinois way back when.
