Eric M. Williamson
1964 - 2012
Condolences
I was visiting Oakland Cemetery today and saddened to discover Eric's gravestone there. We were classmates back to fourth grade at Hoover Elementary and then though Southeast and City High. The trumpet on the stone told me who it was. I remember him back in those early days as a gentle and gifted boy, and I know he must have become a fine husband and father. My deepest sympathies for your loss.
I am saddened to hear that Eric passed away, he will be sorely missed by all. As a far away friend I have never had the pleasure to meet him in person, but our shared passion made up for that in many ways. Eric introduced me to a world of which I had hardly scratched the surface and by doing so he played a distinctive role in the shaping of my future. That is debt I will never be able to repay him, but his memory will be cherished by me for many years to come. Farewell my friend.
I just learned of Eric's recent passing away by chance today, oddly enough just after I had sent two mails to Eric... Though I never had the pleasure to meet Eric face to face, our shared passion for collecting 1/72 scale figures brought us together and forged a friendship crossing an ocean. I think it must have been 1998 when we got into contact as a result of Eric's pioneering Airfix HO Scale Figures Website, and a lively mail correspondence and occasional swapping of parcels resulted. Eric was an important stimulus for a lot of people our age to take up collecting our childhood toys again, and he was an absolute pleasure to have known. I'm saddened his live was all too brief, and wish all his loved ones all the strenght in the hard times ahead. I hope the thought that Eric will be forever fondly remembered by people all over the world will help you in coming to terms with his passing.
Mes sincères condoléances à la famille pour cette dure épreuve.
Eric était un homme bien.
Qu'il repose en paix.

DeLayne and family: I don't think we ever met. I met Eric at Eagle's where we beame friends and remained so through college. Although we weren't in touch much in the last several years I did enjoy seeing pictures and hearing about his wonderful family via Facebook. I am deeply sorry for your loss. Eric was a wonderful person and great friend. Like I mentioned we were not in touch for quite a while but it was VERY apparent through the comments and pictures he shared on line how much he loved his family. Your family will be in my family's prayers.

Dear Williamson Family, I'm so sorry for your loss. I knew Eric in high school, and have good memories. I hope your own memories will sustain you during this difficult time.
DaLayne,
My deepest sympathies. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your children, and your families.
Eric was the kindest and most gentle man I have ever had the opportunity to know. He was loyal to his children's religious education, volunteering at Regina each week. One could always see the pride he had for his children. May God bless him and his family and may warm memories fill the hearts of those left behind who love him.
