Trudy was a neighbor that every American should have growing up in the 60's-70's. This woman was an independet thinker and a super mom. I remember the new Ford Mustangs and a "groovey" hot daughter that was like 10 yrs older than me, living two doors down. I would spend hours outside (pre-game councels) and would ask her a 1000 questions. Trudy was always pleasent to me and helped me avoid old man "Warrens" dog that would roam the neighborhood biting us. Trudy's dog "Tuffy", I believe, was a special friend to me and she would let me play with her(?) for hours a week. So many stories, but it was her independence that really stuck out to me. She was a strong woman and very important in my fomulative years. I have always respected this woman and the world (at least mine) was better off with her in it. My wife formed a relationship with her later in my life as we all lived down on 16th for years. I always felt that would be there forever, till the 93 floods came, then life changed down there and it was never the same 'hood with out her. We loved her and will miss looking forward to see her again down the road. May her memory be eternal, and God bless us all.
