Condolences
Dad its been 2yrs now and i think of you every day. I miss the times that we were able to spend together towards the end. Just so you know thats all i ever wanted from you was time, It didn't matter what we did or where we went. I know some day that ill be able to spend time with you again and i look forward to it every day. I hope that you have finally found peace as i know you were miserable for a long time. I love you dad. Mike
My prayers and thoughts goes out to the family. Dave was an incredible man. He was there when I turned 21, as we all went across the street on my birthday. Working with him, as well as his father and brother holds memories in my heart. He was more than just a boss, he was a friend.
Happy fathers day, love you and miss you so much! Wish you were still here!
Although I only worked with Dave for a short time before I retired he continued to stay in tough with monthly phone calls. Dave was always ready to help out in time of need or lend some timely advise. I will miss his wit and friendship in the years to come. He talked about and loved his family very much.
I had the opportunity to work with David for the past couple years. David's pride and professionalism were admirable as he had nothing but encouraging words to say. David took the time to truly talk to a person and provide real advice rather than a planned speech. He will truly me missed. My condolences go out to his family. He was truly an amazing man!
David was a true professional in every sense. He was very dedicated and worked very hard to promote the Canon brand and Canon products. More than that, he was a gentleman and a very nice person. We will miss him. My thoughts and prayers go out to his Family.
I had the pleasure of meeting David when he came to visit Natalie and I last summer in Oregon. from the time i shook his hand and we introduced ourselves to each other, i felt like i had known him for years. We found common interest in aviation, and much of our conversations would always come back to aviation in some way. Having only know David for a short time is unfortunate, but i will cherish having met him and the time i spent with him.
To David's family...........he spoke of all of you often and was very proud of you. As a co-worker we will miss him in many ways. David was very driven to be good if not the best at what he did. He provided outstanding support to his assigned Canon dealers because as a leader he cared. He was a technology guru. He was fun to be with and loved the game of golf. What a character. We are sad because of our loss. May I offer my condolences and wish you the best into your futures. Carry with you the many lessons David exemplified and his memory will serve you well. ~Rick Wilson
I was a friend of Dave's for many years through flying, skydiving and other aviation related activities. I watched Michael and Natalie grow up from babies. Although I haven't been in touch with Dave for a number of years I still consider him a good friend who would do anything for you and not give it a second thought.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family in this trying time.
He will be missed by many including me.
David was and is the magnificant ONE. He had a great sense of what is, with a sense of humor to temper his views. I will always remember him kidding me about moving away from the Midwest especially IOWA. Anyone from the left coast was not on solid ground. So the best place was the Midwest. I will miss his wit, his intelligents, and his friendship. My hope is that both his wit and intelligence will carry on with his children. I am sure you will miss him, however he will alway be in your memories as in mine. And best of all if you will be very still and listen he will come across the universe to listen and speak to you even now. God is all our energy source and we are her outlets.
Our family's thoughts and prayers are with those who loved David - we've walked the same road, and know we are here for you anytime. Margaret Adams, Robert/Rachel Simons.
David has been a long time friend and business associate. His efforts, vision, and knowledge have been very instumental in the growth of Infomax Office Systems, Inc. in Des Moines, Iowa. Our company viewed him as a valued partner. We will truly miss him. We express our deepest sympathy to David's family.
Dave was a bright spot for me within the Canon organization. He was a colleague and a friend. And although we found ourselves on competing sides of the distribution channel, he was always willing to lend advice, strategy and encouragement. My deepest sympathy to Dave's family, may the many happy memories you carry with you sustain you at this difficult time.
David was a great friend during my career at Canon. He had a great sense of humor. We spent many evenings together at dinner discussing the days activities. We still stayed in touch after I left Canon with the monthly phone calls. David excelled at everything he attempted. He will be missed.
I had the honor of working with David at Canon from 2006 through May of 2011. During this time I not only saw a man with exceptional product knowledge but also a man with a tremendous determination and passion for the business. We will all miss his quick wit and dry sense of humor. For me the memories I will cherish the most are the hours we spent together driving his territory where I had the opportunity to learn about David's non-work related life's passions. David's depth of knowledge regarding farming, flying, golf and the countries he had traveled were truly impressive and I feel fortunate to have learned so much during our talks. Nothing though made David's eyes light up more than he talked about his children and grandchildren. We are all truly blessed to have had David in our lives and I will miss him dearly.
May God hold all of you in the palm of His gentle loving hands. I have the pleasure of working with Nicky and Sydney as their counselor at West High School.
I knew David from Canon and he was always a joy to be around and will be missed dearly by so many people that he touched throuoghout his entire life. I always remember the smile he put on my face and the joy he brought to others. I wish his family all the best during this difficult time and I hope that they all know just how much he meant to the world of Canon and to the world of friends around him. He was truely a wonderful person. Rest in peace my friend. We shall see each other again one day.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Daves Family and friends! I saw Dave only at Canon functions and he has always been thoughtful, cordial and always with a smile on his face. He will be sorely missed by his Canon Family! God Bless!!!
David was a champion friend. We met in 2005 and I found someone with the same passion for life and business as I had. He was always proud of his family especially his children. He had such pride in all the things they were doing from cheerleading to school. He often spoke of the special family travel and the passion for US Open tennis he experienced with special people. My prayers are with your family.
David was one of the most professional and knowledgable people I knew in our Business and always made it freindly and fun. I will miss him personally and professionally. He lives in Gods house know but we will miss him at ours.
Dave was a great friend and co-worker that will be greatly missed. He loved to beat me in golf and would relish it. If you needed anything as a friend or a co-worker, Dave was there to help you out. I'll miss sitting beside him at Canon meetings and miss his great laugh.
David was a solid friend who was always there. He was determined to finish at the highest level in all that he did and never wanted to be 2nd place. I'll miss his toughness and his unique way of encouragement. David was ready to laugh and to push forward. These traits are seldom seen any more. You were one of a kind; David. You will be missed!
David was a trusted advisor and excellent team-mate, as well-known for his wisdom as his quick wit. My thoughts are with all who loved him at this time of loss. You will be in my thoughts and prayers in the weeks to come.
