Sorry to hear of Dean's passing. It was always a pleasure to run into and visit with him , whether at the Elks club or later at Don and Sara's BP station. My sympathy goes out to entire family. He was a good man.

So sorry we can't be there to celebrate the wonderful life uncle Dean had. We have been thinking about you and praying for you.

I remember Dean from my days at Robert O Bell's super service standard station on Muscatine Ave in IC. I worked the bays and drive w/Bob, Doc, and others for about 3 years. Always enjoyed Dean's visits whether as Amoco Mgmt, or a paying customer. His smile says it all. He will be missed.

Dean was a special person to me and someone like Bill Pender that I looked up to and had the greatest amt. of respect for. When they divided up the sales group to retail and consumer, I didn't get to see him very often, but I did try to keep in touch. I remember Laura at the several district parties and Gayleen liked her very much although they never really got to know each other.

Dean was one of the many very special Standard Oil of Indiana salesmen that I idolized and was proud to be associated with. Standard Oil men were a very proud group of men , the envy of the oil industry.

We send our condolences and deepest sympathy to Laura and family for your loss. I am attempting to contact friends that also knew Dean to make sure they are aware of Deans passing.

I just received an e-mail from Frank Postma tonight, so we will not be able to attend the services tomorrow. Are thoughts and prayers are with you.

I met Dean and Laura one week before his passing when I gave Dean his last haircut. I was deeply moved by just being near him, yet never having met him and sensing the deep love between Laura and Dean as his wife spoke with a gentle and soft voice to him.. I could tell that this man had a heart of gold and a gentle spirit. I am thankful that I was allowed a moment to meet Dean's kindness and gentleness. May his family cherish the fond memories of him in their sadness and grief, and I will cherish the opportunity I was given to meet a man who touched my heart in a moment all too brief.

Dean was a very special Man. We will always hold fond memories of him in our hearts.

What can we say. He was a Grand person in all aspects. We will truly miss Uncle Dean!! Our deepest sympathy to Laura and the family.
