I did not know Mrs. Ferrance, but as part of my current masters program read her booklet "Action Research". I was impressed with it and as I read through it provided clarity and help in my next educational goals. I looked Mrs. Ferrance up online and found out that she has passed away.

Her work is still making a difference in lives of educators, and I am thankful for her booklet and service to others via education.

To Eileen's Family and the Friends she held dear;

It was with sorrow that I learned of Eileen's sickness and death. We were colleagues at the Rhode Island Department of Education where she was held in esteem. She was valued for her commitment to the education of our students and her dedication to her role as an educator. Eileen always got the job done! I had the pleasure to work with Eileen during her time with The Education Alliance. Eileen was a dedicated, hard working and ethical colleague who had the respect of her peers. I also had the opportunity to have many discussions with Eileen about her interest in glass and jewelry. Her talent and passion for this work was obvious and I consider myself lucky to have a piece of hers gracing my home.

I taught several years with Eileen at West Warwick High School and Deering Middle School. She was a talented educator and a wonderful person.
