Mabel E. Hobart
1930 - 2011
Condolences
Mabel and Howard were wonderful to Ralph Niemeyer and me. They were generous with their time and energy and provided a home to Ralph when he really needed one. Ralph is now deceased, but we had many fond memories of times spend with Mabel and Howard. Her energy and work ethic were boundless and family was the center of her life.
To the Hobart Family,
I worked with Mabel at Westinghouse/NCS for many years and she was a very wonderful person, hard worker and always put everyone first before herself. She was very fond of her family also. When I first worked there Mabel asked me how old I was and I was probably about 23 and she said "I was still wet behind the ears." Also whenever I wanted to use her calculator she would always tell me that would "cause rusty brains." My mother passed away in 2008 and what helped me to get through it was I took one day at a time, you live for the memories (and I am sure there are alot of good memories) and it shows your support system. She is not suffering anymore, she's in a better place and she is reunited with the love of her life, Howard. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

As a junior high/high school friend of Jim, wanted to send my sincere sympathies to the entire family for your loss. Prayers that you all will be held close and your tears wiped away by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ until you are once again rejoined with Mabel.!
Sorry for your loss. We are thinking of you and remembering your folks fondly.
We are sorry to learn of your loss. We always enjoyed when Mable would stop to visit when she was walking her dog around the block. She kept us updated on her family and their activities. She was a good neighbor and kept an eye out for anything that was unusual.
Jim & Jerry and families-I would like to extend my heartfelt sympathies at this difficult time- Your Mother was a very special lady, and any time that I ran in to her I always enjoyed our visit. I said yesterday, Mabel was a rock. I will never forget when she had shingles and when visiting her one would never know that she was even sick...she didn't let much keep her down. I am very sorry, your Mother will be sorely missed- Wishing you peace and comfort as you mover forward with your loss-
Blessings,
Krista Poulsen-Frandsen
From another CH classmate, Jerry...so sorry to hear of your loss.
To the children of Howard and Mabel Hobart,
Mabel was one of my and my father's favorite people at Bickford. She made us smile and entertained us with her stories. I know it was a long journey, Pat, for both of you. You cared for her well. Peace to you.

To Mabels family,
I am sorry to hear of Mabels passing. I worked with her up to her retirement in Output Processing. Mabel was a talker and her family was her main subject she loved you all very much and as you said put others first before herself. And I swear she knew everyone! ;-) I have thought of her often and wondered where she was...now I know in heaven! You have my deepest sympathy. God Bless You
Just wanted to send my condolences to the family. I always cared your mom (grandmother)--from the old days we worked together at Hy-Vee and the neighborhood (being the mom of my brothers' friends). I loved her smile and her caring nature. You all have my sympathy and will be in my prayers.
