I am so sorry about Woody! We all loved him so much. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. I had intended to attend his memorial services, but my Mom died and I was taken off course for awhile.

One of the benefits of being a business owner is that you get to meet people like "Woody" Morris. Woody was not just a customer, for those who knew him, he also became your friend. Woody we will miss you!

Dear Woody,

You were a wonderful friend to me! I loved coming to visit you at Crestview and I will always remember how much you loved talking to me and rubbing my head and my ears. I loved the treats, too! I will miss your wonderful smile and seeing you follow my mom and me around the hallways in your wheelchair. You always had a smile, for everyone you met. My visits to Crestview won't be the same without my good friend Woody. I know we will see each other again, someday. Until then, I will keep you in my heart.

Professor Morris was an outstanding educator. He was extremely passionate about helping his students understand all aspects of aging. I was fortunate to have him for several classes at the University of Iowa. He had a wonderful sense of humor. He truly cared about his students and those we might be helping in the years to come. He was a man who truly made a difference.

We are saddened to hear of Woody's passing. We were honored to have him as a board member, and cherish the times that we spent together. The Visiting Nurse Association has indeed lost a great friend. Woody was a long term advociate of our organization, and will be truly missed. Thank you Woody for your passion, insight, and loyalty. We appreciate all that you accomplished not only for our organization, but for our community. Thank you.

A congenial fully-blossomed personality; a long exciting life well lived, numerous contributions to the lives of his fellow creatures. Who can ask more? Though I am elated that you are with our Heavenly Father, I know I miss you terribly. Remember our evening 7ups? I know you are enjoying them now. Remember the conversations about nursing, and the lovely pictures of you many trips with Mary that you shared? Those are the special things I hold dear. God Bless you and your family. I know our world has lost a great man.

As Meth-Wick has celebrated anniversaries over the years -- and especially celebrating its 50th year this year -- we have seen the name W.W. Morris several times and in several documents. I have been here 30 years and while he was off the board by the time I came -- I recognized his name immediately! He helped Meth-Wick through some tough years and hopefully he knew that things all came together well as Meth-Wick matured and developed over the years. We owe extreme gratitude to the early board members who worked so hard to see Meth-Wick become a reality.
