Leon H. Cooper
1918 - 2011
Condolences
Leon was a friend of mine from church. He always had something funny to say and a smile on his face. He will be missed!
Leon was my favorite uncle. He always had a smile and would kid around with us kids. He was a man of honor and integrity.
I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner as I've had some computer issues and just read the email today. My deepest sympathies to Aunt Portia and my cousins.
Susie,
We both are sorry for the passing of your father, our thoughts and prayers
are with you and your loved ones.

Pat, I don't ever remember meeting your Dad, but I know this about him. He has a really special daughter. And apparently a great sense of humor. That must be where you get your great laugh and jovial spirit. I am sorry for your loss. Pi
To the Cooper family,
We send thoughts and prayers your way as you go through this time of great sorrow. We are reminded that he is at peace and someday we will all be together again. God be with you. John and Paula Ludwig
Portia & family:
I was so glad you and Leon were driven up here by Carol the last few years. We all had a good visit and he was the only guy of all the cousins on that side of the family. My folks used to enjoy your visits. I see Leon went to his Heavenly Home on what would have been my dad's 83rd birthday last Monday. I still miss my folks and they have been gone over 4 years now. You will always have your special memories of him. He sure had a good sense of humor! Please know that we are thinking of you, and you have our deepest sympathy and prayers. Bill & Cheryl Hermanson
Uncle Leon was my favorite uncle. His sense of humor would drive you over the edge. Although I never got to spend much time with him, not being in Iowa very often, it was always a good time to be around him when I could.
I'm pleased to call Leon a good friend.
I will always cherish our visits, especially those we shared in my adulthood. His smile is embedded in my memory forever, as it came from the heart, occurng spontaneously and generally, lighting up the room. And though he is sorely missed, I am thankful that our merciful Lord would not allow him or Portia or famiy to suffer anymore because of this illness, and welcomed him with open arms into his Heavenly home. May the knowledge that he is now at total peace, being completely healed, having seen the very face of our Lord and Saviour and now basking in His Light, bring comfort to you and yours.
My eternal love,
Paul & Portia et al,
Sorry to hear of your loss. He was one of the good ones. You are in my thoughts.
Lou
I did not know he had passed on. Almost called to see how he was doing.. Our condolences to you Portia and your family. You had such a rich life. God blessed you in so many ways.. You were such a wonderful example till death do us part.. I can only guess how uncomfortable it was for you these last weeks...May his soul and the rest of the faithfully departed rest in peace..
I am truly sorry for your loss. I also recently lost a loved one and was comforted by the scriptures at Rev. 21:4 which promises a time when there will be no more death, mourning nor outcry. Also John 5:28, 29 promises a resurrection. I found comfort and hope in these scriptures and I hope they do the same for you.
