Obituary of Fred C. Warnke

Fred C. Warnke, 71, of Pardeeville, WI died Monday, December 27, 2010, surrounded by his family at his daughter’s home in Coralville, Iowa. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m., Sunday January 2, 2011 at the Buffalo Community Church in Montello, WI. Online condolences may be sent to Fred’s family through the web @www.gayandciha.com. Fred C. Warnke was born March 4, 1939 in Portage, WI; son of Benjamin Warnke and Leda Stroud. He grew up in Pardeeville and went on to attend the University of Wisconsin, Platteville. On June 11, 1965, Fred married Claire Harms in Madison. Fred worked for many years for the City of Milwaukee as a building inspector. When he wasn’t working he enjoyed wood working and was a true craftsman, always restoring life to old furniture. Fred put a lot of time and work into restoring the barn on their family farm so that Claire would have a place to work and a studio for her art. Fred’s family includes his wife, Claire; daughters, Traci (Thomas) Wiand of Coralville, IA, Lori (Kevin) Warnke-Lowe of Milwaukee, WI, and Jennie (David) Dudziak of Coralville, IA; granddaughter, Corrine Warnke; grandsons, Morgan and Bovey Wiand; sister, Eve Isaacson as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Fred was preceded in death by his parents. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation service is caring for Fred’s family and his services.
