Obituary of Frank Joseph Klein, Jr.

Frank Joseph “Ted” Klein Jr., 70, of Tiffin, died unexpectedly at his home, Friday, November 5, 2010. Following Ted’s wishes he was cremated. A time of gathering for family and friends will be from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, November 10, 2010, at the Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. A private family committal service will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Ted Klein Memorial Fund. Online condolences may be sent to Frank’s family through the web @www.gayandciha.com. Frank Joseph Klein Jr. was born November 12, 1939, in Iowa City; son of Frank and Eugena (Mougin) Klein. Following graduation from Tiffin High School, he enlisted in the United States Army. He spent his life in the Tiffin area, owning and operating Klein Trucking in Coralville, for over 35 years. Ted was a very hard and dedicated worker but always found time for a game of cards. Ted was a simple man; he treasured his dog, Abby, and thought the world of his many granddaughters. His family includes his son; Matt (Jodi) Klein of Tiffin, step-daughters; Julie (Don) Music and Dawn Klein all of Coralville, step-son; Steve Klein, special friend; Dee Chaplin of Coralville, granddaughters; Andrea and Patience Klein, Emily and Elizabeth Klein and Meredith Music, brothers; Cletus and Clayton Klein, sisters; Phyllis Latta, Dorothy Seemuth, Jane Doyle and Victoria McNeal. Ted was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Beverly Klein; and a sister, Carolyn Moreland. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City is caring for Ted’s family and his services.
