Obituary of Marie McCartney

Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, January 18, 2009, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service, with burial at Oakland Cemetery in Iowa City. Memorial donations can be made in Marie's name. Marie McCartney was born October 10, 1908, in Iowa the daughter of Andrew and Anna (Hoppe) Young. She married Earl McCartney on October 10, 1936. Her family includes several cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents Andrew and Anna Young; three brothers, Fred, Adolph, Harold and one sister, Clara.
