Obituary of Bethany Sue Redlinger
Bethany S.(Krebs) Redlinger, 32, of Solon, Iowa died Wednesday, April 16, 2008, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Monday, April 21, 2008, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Iowa City, with burial at Oakland Cemetery in Iowa City. Visitation will be from 2-6pm Sunday at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. A memorial fund has been established in Bethanys name. Bethany Sue Krebs was born August 24, 1975, at St. Lukes Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the daughter of Steven P. and Diane L. (Servey) Krebs. She graduated from Solon High School in 1993, and continued her education to achieve her LPN. As an accomplished musician, and trumpet player, during her senior year she was selected to All-State. Prior to her major in nursing, she had pursued a major in music. Bethany has played in many honor and jazz bands over the years. Most recently she has been with the Eastern Iowa Jazz Band. Bethany married Michael Redlinger on July 14, 1995. She was an LPN at the Solon Care Center for nearly 12 years. Bethany enjoyed life, whether it was outside gardening, camping, or riding the motorcycle to spending quiet time crocheting, and cross-stitching, or playing with their two pugs, she enjoyed being involved. But most of all, her loving family was her greatest joy in life. Her family includes her husband, Mike; their sons, Michael Alyn and Alyn Michael Redlinger both at home; parents, Steven and Diane Krebs of Solon; grandparents, Alvin and Ruth Ann Krebs and Genevieve Mae Servey all of Cedar Rapids; parents-in-law, Gary and Donna Redlinger of Solon; sister-in-law, Jennie Antolic and her husband, Roman and their son, Lukas; of Iowa City; Amy Zimmerman and her husband, Bob and their son, Zachary of Tiffin and Emily Redlinger of Iowa City; best friends, Robbie Uthoff and Rob Phillips III, both of Solon. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Joseph W. Servey. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service is caring for Bethanys family and her services.
