Obituary of Gabriel Richard Fawcett

Gabriel Richard Fawcett, 21 day old infant son of Samantha and Derek Fawcett of Solon died January 5, 2008, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2008, at the Living Word Christian Fellowship Church @ 4187 Landon Avenue SW, Iowa City, IA. There will be a time for visitation at the church from 4 to the time of the services. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Oakland Cemetery in Iowa City. A memorial fund has been established at U.S. Bank as the Gabriel Richard Fawcett memorial fund. Online condolences may be sent for his family through the web @ www.gayandciha.com. Gabriel Richard Fawcett was born December 15, 2007, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Because of complications since birth he has not left the hospital, but was surrounded by so much love and compassion from family and friends, and excellent care provided by the doctors and nurses of the neonatal intensive care unit. His family includes his parents, Samantha and Derek; grandparents, Richard and Nicole Mauton of Kansas City, MO and Floyd and Tina Fawcett of Sterling, OH; great-grandmothers, Brigitte Foley of Kansas City, MO; Norma Lance of Creston, OH, and Wanda Fawcett of Rittman, OH; uncles, Travis Mauton of Kansas City, MO; and Ian Fawcett and his wife, Gloria of Goshen, IN; cousin, Jeremiah Fawcett; and many aunts, uncles, and friends.
