Obituary of Fernando Nunez Hurtado

Fernando Nunez Hurtado, 31 of 60 Regal Lane, Iowa City died Saturday, August 18, 2007, at his home following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 21, 2007, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Iowa City with the Reverend Rudolph Juarez officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Iowa City. Visitation will be at the church after 7pm Monday until services Tuesday. A memorial fund has been established. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service is in charge of the arrangements. Fernando’s family includes his children, Adriana Hurtado of Washington, IA; Carlos Hurtado of Iowa City, and Ana Hurtado of California; mother and step-father, Reynaldo DeVargas and Marco Vargas of Iowa City; sisters, Areceli Hurtado, and Guadalupe Hurtado both of Iowa City, and Isabel Hurtado of Washington State; bother, Tony Vargas of Iowa City, and cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
