Obituary of Timothy Payne, Sr.

Timothy J. Payne Sr., age 55 of 2401 Hiway 6 East, Iowa City died at his home unexpectedly on Friday, April 28, 2006. Funeral services will be held at (time, day & date?) at the (name of the church in Chicago), with burial in (name of cemetery in Chicago). There will be a visitation for family and friends in Iowa City from 4 to7pm Wednesday May 3, 2006, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service. Timothy Jacob Payne Sr. was born June 15, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois the son of Lee Andrew Payne and Alma Keys Payne. He moved to Iowa City nearly thirteen years ago where he has worked for the Lear Corporation. His family includes his children, Karita Powell and her husband, Deyong Sr. of Coralville, Timothy Payne Jr., Tia Johnson, Reginald Payne, Jerald Payne, and Kyle Payne all of Iowa City; seven grandchildren, Alana, Jonathan, Brian, Brandon, Deyong Jr., Kamrie, and Imani; brothers, Reverend Nathaniel Payne and his wife, Fran; of Chicago, Meredith Payne and his wife, Gwendolyn of Birmingham, AL, Bernard Payne of Chicago, and Aaron Payne and his wife, Karon of Chicago; sister, Karita Thomas and her husband, Eugene of Chicago. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Leandrew Payne, Reginald Payne, and Kenneth Payne. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service is caring for Timothy’s family and his services.
