Obituary of Sushma Edna Newstrom

Sushma Edna Newstrom, age 56, of 943 Apadona Ct., Coralville, IA died Thursday March 17, 2005 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday March 23, 2005 at the River Community Church in Iowa City. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Gay & Ciha Funeral & Cremation Service in Iowa City. Family Graveside Services will be held Saturday, March 26, 2005 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, with burial in Itasca-Calvary Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in Sushma’s memory. Online condolences may be sent to her family through our website @ www.gayandciha.com. Sushma Edna Newstrom was born March 9th, 1949 in Meerut, India to Patrick and Sona (Ramsukh) Dyes. She was a graduate of Sophia Women’s College in New Delhi, India. She married Reed Newstrom and they were married for over 25 years. They made their home in the Waterloo-Cedar Falls area for over 20 years. She was a member of River Community Church, Iowa City. Sushma’s family includes her husband, Reed, a daughter, Shalini and a son, Patrick all of Coralville. She was preceded in death by her parents.
