Obituary of Nyota and Cherobo Kiza

Nyota Kiza age 31 of 913 N. Governor Street, Iowa City, and her infant son, Cherobo Kiza died Wednesday, October 13, 2004, from injuries received in a car accident in Johnson County. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 23, 2004 at the Congregational Church in Iowa City. Visitation times will be on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. Nyota was born July 16, 1973 in Tanzania, the daughter of Bulimwegu P. Paul & Josephine Singatia. She had attended Kirkwood Community College for a couple of years. Nyota married Lagi Kiza June 25, 1999, in Finlay, Ohio. She worked as a nurse's aid in this area. Her family includes her husband, Lagi; and their children, Jeannette George, Amani Kibsa, Christian Katembo, Goderive Kiza, Josephine Kiza, and Doreteya Kiza.
