Obituary of Geri Graper

Geraldine “Geri” M. Siegworth Graper, age 58 of Oxford died at her son’s home in rural Oxford on Thursday, July 15, 2004. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 19, 2004 at the Oxford United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Oxford Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Gay & Ciha Oxford Chapel. Memorials may be given to the Geri Graper memorial fund. Online condolences may be sent for family @www.gayandciha.com. Geri was born on August 15, 1945 in Dubuque, Iowa the daughter of John Fredrick and Vera Duggan Siegworth. She attended schools in Galena and Freeport, Illinois and Kirkwood Community College. For many years she worked as a C.N.A. Geri loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed collecting cows, drinking coffee and visiting with family and friends. Her family includes her son, Carl and Dawn Wixom of Oxford, daughters, Tonda and Dan Moyer of North Liberty and Shirley Frank of Clear Lake, Iowa, nine grandchildren, two sisters, Shirley Tubbs of Dubuque, IA., Pat Schable of Eureka, N.V., one brother, Roger Siegworth of Freeport, IL. and her special friend Kenneth Graper of Oxford. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother James Lee, and one daughter Tammie Sue, and one nephew Randy Tubbs. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Services of Iowa City is caring for her family and her services.
