Obituary of Catherine M. Kessler

Catherine M. Kessler, age 85 of 1210 2nd Ave, Iowa City died on Thursday, July 16, 2004 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 19, 2004, at Oakland Cemetery, Iowa City. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Gay and Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. Memorial donations can be made to the Catherine Kessler memorial fund. Online condolences may be sent for family though our website @www.gayandciha.com. Catherine M. Kessler was born August 21, 1918 in Iowa City the daughter of Louis and Mary (Strub) Kessler. She graduated from St. Patrick Catholic High School and the University of Iowa. Catherine was a life long resident of Iowa City and worked for C.O.D. Cleaners and A.C.T. in Iowa City as a secretary. Catherine’s family includes a daughter, Melinda Littlesky, grandchildren, Willie Love, Keri Littlesky and Chavella Wendler, all of Cedar Rapids, one great-granddaughter and four great-great grandchildren, one sister in-law Mary Jean Kessler of Iowa City along with two nieces and two nephews She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother Buford.
