Obituary of Keith Odle

Keith Carl “K.C.” Odle, age 39 of 26 Dunuggan Court, Iowa City died Saturday, February 7, 2004. Funeral services will be held this evening at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Iowa City with the Reverend Walter Helms officiating. Visitation will be from 4pm today until services at the church. Additional services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2004, at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello, Iowa, with the Reverand Mary Pugh officiating. Burial will follow at the Wapello Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established for K.C.’s children’s education through the Hills Bank and Trust Company. Keith Carl Odle was born February 26, 1964, in Burlington, Iowa the son of Hilton and Dorothy (Umlandt) Odle. He graduated from Wapello High School in 1982 and attended University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. He married Mary Claire Harrington, April 22, 1989, in Oelwein, Iowa. For over ten years he was associated with Hy-Vee in the Iowa City area. He has worked for Oral B in Iowa City for the past five years. K.C. was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and being in the wild. K.C. was trained in the taxidermy field, owning his own business, Iowa Valley Taxidermy, and was a member of Ducks Unlimited. His family includes his wife, Mary; children all at home, Kailey, Trey, Tanner, and Abby; parents, Hilton and Dorothy Odle of Wapello; brother, Steve and his wife, Anita Odle of Wapello; and sister, Terri and her husband, Kirk McElhinney of Taylor Falls, MN; and many nieces and nephews. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service of Iowa City and the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home of Wapello is caring for K.C.’s family and his services.
