Obituary of Henry Keeton

Henry B. Keeton, age 73 of 134 Apache Trail, Iowa city died Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at his home following a extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Monday, February 2, 2004 at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City with Chaplain Anna Bradshaw officiating. Burial with military honors will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Iowa City. Visitation will be from 3 to 6pm Sunday at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established in his memory. Henry B. Keeton was born August 4, 1930 in Lineville, Iowa the son of John P. and Mary B. (Nichols) Keeton. He was married to Lorraine E. Woodruff before she died in 1982. He married Rosella J. Halstead September 12, 1998 in Iowa City. Henry has lived and worked in Colorado, Mexico, and in this area of Iowa. He moved to the Cedar Rapids area in 1968 and later to Iowa City in 1999. His family includes his wife, Rosella; mother, “Peg” Keeton of Hardy, Iowa; children, Tom Male of Marion, Karen Spencer of Cedar Rapids, Dorothy Rainbolt of Iowa City, John Cook of Oak Grove, KY, Pauline Lint of Cedar Rapids, Pamela Cook of Cedar Rapids, Cherie Clyde of Litchville, ND, Lynda Bailey of Patterson, Ark., and Glenna Vineyard of Cedar Rapids; many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in deathby his father, and two sisters, Karen and Iola “Mike”.
