Obituary of Ruth A 'Ruthie&apos Dayton

Her family includes two sisters: Elsie and husband Marion Jones of Iowa City, Esther and husband Sam Noack of Colorado, three step-sisters: Dolly Rundle and Ella Mae Burket of Arkansas, Sis and Don Wilkerson of West Liberty, one step-brother: Warren and wife Sue Birely of Iowa City, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Her mother Eula Jean and brother David preceded her in death. Ruth Ann Dayton was born on February 9, 1946, in Iowa City. Ruthie was a life long resident of Iowa City. She attended schools in Iowa City and was a member of Grace Fellowship Church. This year would have marked Ruth's 25th year working at Mercy Hospital's cafeteria in the Dietary Department. Ruthie had many and varied interests. She enjoyed watching television, in particular Hawkeye Basketball and professional wrestling, doing word search puzzles and attending church activities. Ruthie always looked forward to getting cards and letters in the mail. She will be missed by her family, friends and all that knew her. Memorials may be given to the Ruth A. Dayton Memorial Fund.
