Obituary of Edward Winter D.V.M.

C. Van Cura, Douglas Van Cura, Anamarie Van Cura, Katharine Randall, Stuart Randall, Grace Randall and Bailey Randall, brother-in-law; Fred Hird of Arlington, Virginia, brother; Douglas Winter and his wife Frances of Clarinda, Iowa, sister; Esther Hart of Coin, Iowa, brother; Byron Winter of Seward, Nebraska, sister; Carolyn Guizli and her husband Bill of Madrid, Iowa, sister; Martha Thompson of Lamar, Colorado, sister-in-law; Betty Winter of Clarinda, Iowa. Edward Crain Winter was born July 10, 1935, at Hepburn, Iowa, to Charles Edward Winter and Martha Margaret (Crain) Winter. Ed was a 1953 graduate of Clarinda High School and a 1960 graduate of Iowa State University as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. On December 27, 1960, he was united in marriage at Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Mary Carol Hird, who survives. Ed had a private veterinary practice in Clarinda, Iowa for 25 years. He had worked for as a circuit supervisor for Food Safety Inspector Service of U. S. D. A. since 1985. Ed was a member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church.
