Obituary of Lori A. Schauf

Lori A. Schauf, 50, of West Liberty, passed away Monday, June 7, 2010, after an extended illness. Cremation services were provided by the Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. A private family committal service will take place at the Wellman Cemetery. A luncheon for family and friends will be held 4 p.m., Friday, June 11, 2010, at the Wellman City Hall. Online condolences may be sent to Lori’s family through the web @www.gayandciha.com. Lori was born May 2, 1960, in Iowa City, the daughter of Velda Moffit and Wilbur Schauf. She was very family oriented and was an important fixture in many peoples’ lives. She was especially proud of being a great-aunt to many loving nieces and nephews. Her family includes her mother; Velda Schauf of Wellman, IA., sisters; Shirley Debler of Wellman, Sandy Hahn and Myrna Bozarth of West Liberty, and Mary Van Dyke of Louisville, KY., brothers; Dennis Schauf of West Liberty and Gary (Ed) Schauf of Marietta, SC. Her family also includes many nieces, nephews and other family as well as many dear friends. Lori was preceded in death by her father, Wilbur, as well as her brothers; Kenneth, Bill and Larry.
