Obituary of Daniel S. Hurd

Daniel S. Hurd, 61, of Coralville, passed away in his home Friday, July 3, 2009. Dan was born August 14, 1947, in Sigourney, Iowa to Lambert M. and Dorothy J. (Walsh) Hurd and was a graduate of Deep River-Millersburg High School and Oklahoma State University-Institute of Technology, Okmulgee, Oklahoma. He worked for many years as a Draftsman for American Air Filter, Moline, Illinois and later as a CAD Draftsman III for the University of Iowa. Dan was an avid sports fan, especially of the Davenport Rugby Football Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lambert M. and Dorothy J. Hurd and survived by his brother, Dr. Lawrence J. and wife, Lynn Hurd of Kansas City, Missouri. Dan will be missed by all who knew him and remembered for his fun-loving spirit.
