Obituary of Anita R. Johnson

Anita Rose Johnson, 73, died Thursday, April 30, 2009, at Greenwood Manor Care Center in Iowa City after a long illness. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 2, 2009 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Garnavillo, Iowa. Anita was born Sept. 12, 1935, the daughter of Henry and Lucy (Tujetsch) Stroschein, in Garnavillo, Iowa. She retired from St. Lukes Hospital, Cedar Rapids, where she worked for many years in housekeeping. Her family includes two brothers Lawrence (Bernadette) Stroschein of Garnavillo, Ia, Francis (Amy) Stroschein of Prairie Du Chien, Wis. and a sister Odelia (the late Harold) Matt of Castalia, Ia. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers August Stroschein of Montana and Cyrenus (Marion) Stroschein of Elkader, Ia.
