Obituary of Jerome L. Fairchild

Jerome L. “Jerry” Fairchild, 49 of Cedar Rapids died Sunday, April 26, 2009, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Jerry was born November 23, 1959, in Waterloo, Iowa the son of Donald and Mary (Kurtz) Fairchild. Following high school he enlisted in the United States Army. He has resided in the Cedar Rapids area for the past 20 years. His family includes a son, Ryan Fairchild of Cedar Rapids, sister, Elizabeth Gregg of Chesterland, OH; brothers, Robert Fairchild of Gladbrook, IA, Andrew Fairchild of Columbus, OH, and Adam Fairchild of Davenport. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 1, 2009, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids, followed by a reception for Jerry’s family and friends at the church.
