Obituary of Norma Jean Benner

Norma Jean Benner, 68, of Windmill Manor in Coralville died Monday, March 30, 2009 at her residence due to an extended illness. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at the Memorial Park Cemetery, 11495 265th St., Mason City, Iowa 50401. Norma Jean was born September 29, 1940 in Clear Lake, Iowa to Rodney and Marge (Preston) Benner. She graduate from high school in Clear Lake and was later married to Wendall Hahn. In the early 60’s Norma moved to Iowa City where she was a homemaker. Norma’s family includes her father Rodney Benner of Clear Lake; sisters Nancy Hicks and Carol Hayes of Florida; aunt Virginia Hargarten of Florida: five cousins; son Jeff (Deb) Bennerhahn of Iowa City; daughter Lisa Hahn of Tipton; grandchildren Ellen and Owen Bennerhahn, Sonnie Lewis, and Rainie Hahn. She was preceded in death by her mother Marge; brother Jimmie; son Eddie Hahn; and son-in-law Kenny Lewis. Gay & Ciha funeral and Cremation Service of Iowa City is assisting with Norma’s services.
