Obituary of Rodney Seals

Rodney Seals, 19, of Iowa City died Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, due to Bacterial Meningitis. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 9, 2009 at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery of Iowa City. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be made in Rodney's name. Online condolences can be made through the web @ www.gayandciha.com. Rodney Seals was born October 9 1989 in Chicago, IL to Irene Seals. In 1999 Rodney moved to Iowa City with his family. He graduated from Iowa City West High School in 2008, and was currently attending Kirkwood Community College. He enjoyed playing basketball, music, being with he friends and spending time with family. Rodney’s family includes mother Irene Seals of Iowa City; brothers Vernon Seals of Chicago, IL, Gerald Seals (Tara) of Cedar Rapids; sisters Levine Seals of Iowa City; nephews Gerald “Little Man” Seals of Iowa City, Deonte Seals of Iowa City; Neices Dejah Seals of Iowa City, Jayda Seals of Cedar Rapids, Marisha Seals, Tyneisha Seals, Evelyn Seals all of Chicago, IL and a host of other loving family and friends. Rodney was preceded in death by Edith, Curly, Mae, Moe and Harry Seals.
