Obituary of Jonathan Isaiah Tutson

Jonathan Isaiah Tutson was born October 31, 2008, at 5:56 a.m., the son of Israel and Tikisha Tutson at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. At 10.5 ounces, he was the smallest male or female to ever be born and survive in the State of Iowa, and the smallest male in the entire world! His name (Jonathan) means “A gift from God,” and perfectly describes what he was to us. Although he was only here for a short period of time, his impact on our lives was great and will never be forgotten. Jonathan was called home to be with the LORD on November 4, 2008 at 11:10 a.m. His family includes his parents, Israel and Tikisha Tutson; sister, Justice Marie Tutson; grandparents: Jesse Crum, James and LaVerne Tutson; aunts, Capricia Chase, Natasha Hamilton, Heaven Tutson, Sade Hamilton and Majesty Tutson; uncles, Messiah Tutson, Daniel Crum, James Tutson, Jr., Calvary Tutson; great-grandfather, Henry Wheaton Sr.; and great-grandmother, Louise Fluker. Family services have been held, with burial at the Oakland Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent for his family through the web @ www.gayandciha.com. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service cared for Jonathan’s family and his services. “the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.” Job 1:21
