Obituary of Rosa Wells

Rosa Wells, 97, of Iowa City died on Sunday, August 31, 2008 at Greenwood Manor in Iowa City. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Iowa City. Visitation will be at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service of Iowa City from 1 p.m. until time of service. Memorials can be made in Rosa’s name. Rosa’s family includes three sons, George Wells, John Wells (Carolyn), Delmar Wells all of Iowa City; daughters, Anna Baker (Bob) of Wagoner, OK and Susan Wells of Iowa City; grandchildren Steve Wells, Gilbert Baker, Breezeda (Breezy) Baker, and Suzie Dipple; great-grandchildren Ashley Stower and Nicholas Beale and two great-great-grandchildren Daniel and Nevaeh Stower. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 75 years Gilbert D. “Gil” Wells; and son Emery Wells. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service is caring for Rosa’s family and services.
