Obituary of Barbara Kelly

Barbara Kelly 53, of Iowa City died peacefully Thursday, May 29, 2008, while in the care of the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, following a courageous battle with cancer. Memorial Services will be held at 6pm Monday, June 2, 2008 at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City, with Pastor John White officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be from 4pm to services. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in her memory. Online condolences may be sent to her family through the web @ www.gayandciha.com. Barbara Kelly, was born January 26, 1955 the daughter of Ray and Elizabeth (Bishop) Mann. She graduated from Stebbins High School in Dayton, Ohio in 1973. She later moved to Iowa, in 1992 she moved to Iowa City where she has lived for the past 16 years. She worked for the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Her favorite hobby was junking with her best friend Deb. But most of all Barbara’s love was spending time with her two daughters and grandaughter. Barbara’s family includes daughters Michelle Kelly (Chris) and granddaughter Haley Napoli of Tiffin, Katie Kelly of Iowa City; Father Ray Mann; Sisters Teresa Fourman, Phyllis Kimmerly, Kathy Mann; two brothers Bobby Mann and Rodney Mann all of Dayton, Ohio; and many loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother Elizabeth Mann. Barbara’s family would like to send out a special thank you to UIHC Dr. Goodheart and the gynecology oncology staff, along with Iowa City Hospice and the Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha.
