Obituary of Norman C. Eells

Norman C. Eells 77, of Iowa City formally of Cedar Rapids entered the presence of his Lord Tuesday, February, 19 2008, at the Mechanicsville Nursing & Rehab Center. Memorial Services will be Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 11 a.m. at The Grace Bible Fellowship in Lisbon, Iowa. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Norman C. Eells memorial fund. Online condolences may be made through the web at gayandciha.com. Norman the son of Norval and Shirley Eells was born in Cedar Rapids, September 11, 1930. He attended West Branch High School before moving to Mechanicsville where he graduated. After high school he attended Upper Iowa University graduating with a teaching and coaching degree in 1952. He then joined the United States Army. Norman was a teacher and coach for many different schools around Iowa. In his later years he became a salesman. In Norman’s spare time he could be found playing, coaching or watching golf a game that he dearly loved. His family includes son Mike (Julie) Eells of Atlantic, IA; daughter Beth (David) Hallett of Waterloo; sister Gloria Eells of Marion; two grandchildren Noah Eells, and Abby Eells. Norman was preceded in death by his brother Paul Eells. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service is caring for Norman’s family.
