Obituary of Faye Marie Schooley

Faye M. Schooley, 85 of 2801 Highway 6 East, Iowa City died Tuesday, January 1, 2008, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 4, 2008, at the Christ the King Lutheran Church in Iowa City with the Reverend David Aanonson officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Iowa City. Visitation will be from 12 noon until services on Friday at the Church. Faye Marie Biggs was born February 8, 1922, in Tipton, Iowa the daughter of Charles and Bertha (Dauber) Biggs. She was united in marriage to Raymond L. “Ray” Schooley on August 23, 1941, in Kahoka, MO. She has lived most of her life in this area, where she was a member of the Christ the King Lutheran Church. Her family includes two sons and their wives, Richard and Connie Schooley of Joetown, IA, and Charles and Kathleen Schooley of Rockford, IL; grandchildren, Cullin Schooley of Des Moines, IA, Dawn Chadema of Rockford, IL, and Ryan Schooley of Rockford, IL; great-grandson, Jacob Chadema of Rockford, IL; brother, Carl Biggs of Glendora, CA; and a sister, Jean Stuckey of Tipton. Faye was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ray on April 11, 1999; brother, Julien Biggs, and brother, Wayne Biggs.
